I’m Evan Geroge, a board-certified music therapist with a passion for harnessing the power of music to create positive change. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy and a minor in Spanish from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2019. I completed my internship with It Is Music Time LLC.
My therapeutic philosophy centers around a humanistic and relationship based approach. This approach allows the uniqueness of each individual person to shine and benefit from music in their own special ways. I have had the pleasure of working with toddlers all the way up to geriatric aged people with a variety of different diagnoses. I thrive when using music to support other’s emotional expression, enhance their independence, improve fine and gross motor skills, and foster interpersonal connections.
Here at Mainstay, I serve the areas of south Fort Wayne, Roanoke, Bluffton, Ossian, and Decatur. I enjoy the fact that I am able to provide music therapy services to individuals in areas where it may not otherwise be available.
Outside of music therapy, I enjoy playing video games, reading, and going for runs. I also love discovering new songs to listen to, and play trombone in several musical groups throughout the Fort Wayne area.
