Meet The Team

Rebecca

I’m Rebecca, a dedicated board-certified music therapist with a passion for harnessing the power of music to create a positive change in those I work with. I’m an alumna of Shenandoah University, having graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree accompanied by a minor in Entrepreneurship. I completed my internship at New Leaf Music Therapy in Winchester, Virginia where my experience was centered on providing comprehensive therapeutic interventions to school-aged clients encompassing diverse diagnoses. After completing my internship I moved to Indiana and began my work with Mainstay, providing services in Warsaw, Goshen, and Plymouth.

My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a humanistic approach, which emphasizes person-centered focus, holistic views, self-actualization, client empowerment and unconditional positive regard. My professional experiences include work with older adults within memory care units, young adults in behavioral health settings, students across both integrated and isolated classroom environments, and clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in individual sessions. This diverse exposure has underscored my unwavering belief in the inherent potential within each individual, further fortified by my conviction that music serves as an expressive channel for nurturing growth and realizing one’s utmost potential. I thrive when using music to support other’s emotional expression, enhance cognitive skills, and foster interpersonal connections. I’m also dedicated to staying updated with the latest research and techniques in music therapy to provide you with the best possible care.

Beyond the therapy room, you can find me watching movies, spending time outdoors (especially by the water!), or enjoying time with family and friends!
