Meet The Team

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy with a minor in American Sign Language from Radford University. In addition, I am an Assistive Technology Specialist and hold certification as a Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) Certified Professional, a methodology that fosters effective communication through assistive technology. I am passionate about enhancing communication for all individuals efforts with families to nurture individual development.

I am enthusiastic about Mainstay’s innovative Family Training programming through BDS Waivers, which offers AAC Trainings for Families. Through this initiative, I conduct one-on-one training sessions for families, offering specific advise and recommendations for integration of AAC into daily life. I also provide AAC resources to the community through Mainstay’s Resource page and in presentations.

In my current capacity as Chief Operating Officer at Mainstay, I oversee day to day operations, employee trainings and oversight, manage new client intakes, and supervise therapist schedules. My background in music therapy work spans a wide array of areas, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, school-aged children, geriatric care, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care patients.
